Victor Lindelof: Manchester United defender signs new contract until 2024

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has signed a new long term deal with the clubkeeping him at Old Trafford until June 2024.
The 25-year-old Sweden international also has an choice to extend the deal by a further year.
Lindelof came at United from Benfica in the summertime of 2017 for a fee in the area of 30m and has gone on to make 74 appearances.
He said:”As the day that I arrived at United it has felt just like home. I’ve grown considerably both as a person and as a player in the last two decades and for that I am thankful to everyone in the club for support and their assistance.
“I love playing football and my aim now is to assist the team to win trophies and refund the fans with their amazing support.
“I understand that everybody in the club shares this vision and will supply everything to get Manchester United back to where it belongs.
“I am still young and understand I can improve further but with the support of the boss and his training staff, I believe that only good things are ahead for this fantastic club.”
Since Gunnar Solskjaer took control Lindelof has established herself and begins alongside record-signing Harry Maguire.
Solskjaer added:”Victor has created himself and has come to be a very important part of our team. He brings focus about the pitch and I will see that he is determined to help this club and to succeed here .
“I am extremely happy that he has committed his future to Manchester United. We’re all looking forward to working with each other to deliver the success and receive United back to where we all know the club goes”
Manchester United journey to the London Arena on Renault Super Sunday to play West Ham, live on Sky Sports Premier League out of 1pm.
